About Jeff
Tech guy who cries at kids movies.
Husband. Father. Runner. Former problem drinker. More peer than guru.
The Story
- Anxious, shy kid who never felt like he fit in.
- Discovered alcohol at age 20 — it became my social confidence.
- Drinking got steadily worse over 13 years.
- Missed moments with family. Health warning signs ignored.
- Quit for good on July 9, 2023. Not easy at first, but it got there.
Life After Quitting
- Started running despite a long-held disdain of endurance sports.
- Learned that identity change makes other change feel possible.
- Still married to (very patient) high school sweetheart Katy.
- Two kids, getting less small by the day.
- Lives in Wichita, Kansas, USA.
Core Belief
Identity is malleable — change starts with a belief shift.
